serious business

Artistic Director for Salvatore Ferragamo, Massimiliano Giornetti is one of my favorite Italian fashion designers. He knows exactly what a chic tailored fashion-able man wants to wear and looks forward of wearing. Before, I wasn't a fan of orange but the right type of orange can make a strong statement such as this tailored orange blazer. A single button is more of my forte when it comes to a blazer, maybe two the max. This over all look is just a ravishing yet basic. From the cut to the accessory man bag and orange dress shoes, it just goes so right. Hopefully one day when I make it, I will definitely replicate this look.

Inspector Gadget

One of my signature pieces that I personally love the most is a fabulous panama hat. Featuring here, model Garrett Neff wearing this ultra chic orange red straw panama hat with a black satin band detailing at the Salvatore Ferragamo Menswear Spring Summer 2010 collection. It goes so well with almost any look whether dressed up or dressed down. I love the overall look with the tobacco brown leather trench coat and orange cashmere cardigan sweater. It has a slightly Inspector gadget vibe with a more relaxed look.

a SHINIER trench

A man that owns a least a couple of trench coats is a winner for me. Trench coats, being one of the most chicest key pieces of a man's wardrobe is the greatest item to invest in. Trench coats brings a complete finish look either casual or formal. This navy blue nylon taffeta trench coat shown at the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring Summer 2010 collection. It has such high quality from the details, the cut, and the used of nylon taffeta that has a shinier effect. A modern take on a classic piece for a newer look.

free to relax...

You can't go wrong with this simple loose fit knit sweater for this winter season. Very casual chic yet comfortable and warm. Neutral tones such as: ivory, limestone, or clay always works best with a pair of chino pants and suede loafers.

Panama hat can never go wrong!

When I would see a Panama hat, I would think of cuban men with their cigars and clean linen suits. It was a very classy rich man I would think. Here shown on the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2010 menswear were a variety of of different color Panama hats. Orange with a black band and brown with a black band. I usually don't see a lot of people wearing these which is cool cause I think it brings a total new modern twist to a classic look. By the way, I love the neutral tones mix with the bright colors of lime green & pumpkin orange.

the new man bag is the new messenger bag?

Shown on the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2010 Menswear collection, their were a few new kind of man bags shown on the runway. These bags are strapless with a single zipper in croc skin. Colors came in pumpkin orange, deep blue, tobacco brown, & matte black. I think these type of bags are going to be a chic touch to any outfit either worn with a suit or jeans and a button down.
