God's Gift

There is something that I find so fascinating about men that have salt and pepper hair. I just get goosebumps running down my back thinking about it. The first guy I  that got me looking seconds at is Anderson Cooper. He is just a gorgeous looking man that has the features that goes so well with his salt and pepper hair. And his dreamy eyes and presence definitely brings a lot of character of him. So yesterday I was watching some old backstage fashion shows of men in Milan in the late 90's for MTV. I came across Jorge Gelati shown in the photo. I remember him doing ads for Dolce & Gabbana and Chrome fragrances. And he is so young in this still photo image that I capture. I mean he is gorgeous now but, DAMN! back in the days. Break me off a piece of that! He is just one of those guys that you just got to stare and think, wow you are god's gift to earth. I wonder if he's married or gay?

basic twist

I love the idea of wearing a men's dress shirt but making it look feminine with a twist. Natalia Vodianova featured here at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2003 show wearing this men's white dress shirt with a knotted white bow center front makes an absolute statement with a high waisted black palazzo trousers. Just the idea of mixing masculine and feminine together just makes a look endless. If I worked for Vogue Italia, this is definitely one of my working clothes. I would pair these with black suspenders and black patent pointed heel pumps and a messy french twist for that urban women sense.

un uomo vero

I am just obsessed with the Frankie Morello Menswear Spring Summer 2011 show. I think it had the best cast of variety of male models. But there is one thing I can't figure out, who is this male model in particular? I am so infatuated by his elegant stature, exotic sultry stare, and his sexy bone structure. He has to be either  Italian or Brazilian origin. And how can I forget his Tattoos on his legs. I think tattoos on the legs are the new sexy way to have Tattoos on the body. I am just obsessed with this boy. If anybody knows his name, please notify me. He is definitely in my top favorite male models.

Beyond a Label

I realized that forget the logos, embellishments details, and print. A great investment in a fabulous bag is something basic like this tan/beige leather medium duffel tote bag. I love the simplicity and architectural details. So clean and underrated for those who prefer a real bag that doesn't scream "look at me". Forget show stopper, I like a bag because it's something that I like personally and don't care if nobody doesn't notice it or not. It seems like everyone wants a bag that proves to everyone that it's a designer, but the real deal is that: "Does it really satisfy what you really want in a bag?" I love this bag because it's versatile to use whether casual or dressy.

clash of two

I adore lip colors that almost look plastic like with a bright techni color like this one in particular. Neon orange/yellow gloss lips with a hint of purple/blue and light red definitely is a playful color when it comes to being a youthful modern girl or guy. The contradiction between something so extreme but yet subtle and innocence brings a new level of style. Miuccia Prada always creates a statement for her Miu Miu or Prada show. Taking simple elements and bringing them to a whole new level.

The Lay Down

I've noticed the main color for Chloé Fall Winter 2010 was all shades of beige. Whether it was light hint or a camel dark, it just set the trend for this Fall/Winter season. One of my personal favorite key pieces was a medium beige tone booties with a light brown medium heel. These are the perfect shoes to wear with a overcoat, full skirt, or dress pants. Hannah MacGibbon really understands what young sophisticated women wants to wear without being too overrated. I would wear these with a forest green/red plaid cape coat with men styled trouser pants for a modern equestrian 70's style. And most importantly, that young Brooke Shields hair is a must for these type of shoes.

Easy Comfort

Evening dressing is an essential part of looking the part. I've notice a new style of evening dressing is about separates. Taking something that's simple and easy mixed with a elegant piece such as this number shown at the Michael Kors Fall Winter 2009 collection. I love a one shoulder long sleeve cashmere blend top matched with a black sequin loose narrow skirt. It's about poise with a balance of ease. I think women need to find a style that really makes them feel comfortable without feeling too done. And definitely Michael Kors always knows exactly what a women looks for for evening dressing. Slick pulled back hair in a bun with a black smokey eye and nude lip is the ideal suitable look for any night out event.

preparation

I know L.A. Gay Pride Festival isn't around the corner but I am preparing on what I want to wear the day of. I'm keeping my options open. The key things that I'm looking for is comfort, classic, & different with an edge. My motto challenge is: "How are you going to stand out in a crowd?" I'm considering a nautical theme of the colors of navy blue/white. Very clean, very refreshing, and very Michael Kors shown here in this number. I love the short sleeve polka dot button shirt paired with a navy blue high cut fitted trousers, white slip on shoes, and a white bucket hat. An idea that I am considering for my look at L.A. Gay Pride 2011.

Forever Young

When I see people style and when I think of mines, I always ask myself: What is my aesthetic if I were a women? Well definitely my hairstyle would always portray that late 70's/early 80's Brooke Shields, Antonio Lopez/easy sporty waves that frame the face. I'm just getting a over the same center part Victoria's Secret hair. I just adore a look that is young, easy, luscious, and romantically sexy. After watching the movie "Endless Love" with Brooke in it, she was such a muse to me. I wish I can be so subtly sexy like her in that film. I"m glad not a lot of women portray that image which makes it rare of a scene. It's also a signature look by the French fashion house: Chloé that I also adore to my heart so closely.

Carnal Desire...

So my good friend Dan M. and I were talking as usual online and I told him that we need watch the Frankie Morello Spring Summer 2011 show and to tell each other which male models we liked. I already had watch the show before. So were watching it and my friend Dan M. tells me which guy he is attracted to. He gives me the elapse time of the guy, it's David Vega! I'm so shock because when I first saw him myself, I thought he's hot but nothing too special but since I gave another look, the tide is turning. David Vega is a male model represented by Request Models, Banana Models, & F Fashion Models. He hails from Brooklyn, New York. I am just fascinated by his exotic Latin/black descent. He has the total package of his finely defined body to his mysterious sultry stares. He is just a one of a kind that you don't see often. He's done a few shows for Frankie Morello, Michael Bastian, & Steven Alan just to name a few. He has recently done the Calvin Klein underwear ad campaign which puts him on the fashion map. I'm actually glad he's not an overrated model like others. He's rare like a gemstone and it should be kept that way. Apparently he is a straight guy, sorry to the gay fans out there like myself. I am hoping to see more of him on the runway and on the covers of L'Officiel Hommes & GQ Style. How can fashion clients say no to him, he's just undeniably the right look for the new wave decade of 2010.
