lusso essenziale

My dear friend Kendall knows me inside out when it comes to fashion. Especially investing in a great pair of shoes, overcoat, or clutch. But the one thing I'm craving at the moment is this super luxurious man tote bag in black alligator skin by Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum Fall Winter 2011. I like the fact that it has a slight midnight blue tone to it. From it's frame shape top handle closure to it's structured shape and sturdy handles, this is just a perfect man bag for me to use during my travels. It's spacious to hold your most important essentials. Skies the limit with any look. But my ideal look would be a cashmere heather gray turtleneck sweater with a pair of midnight blue fitted trousers and a pair of cognac oxford pointed shoes for a sleek yet easy dressing.

Like Me

For the longest time, I've been meaning to invest in a fabulous men's over coat for this past Fall Winter. But it's never too late to buy one. This particular overcoat that I saw featured at the Michael Kors Fall Winter 2011 show got me obsessed. Medium charcoal gray double breasted. Very simple, clean, and chic. I adore the original style it represents of my personal style. I love how it's also paired with a black cashmere turtleneck sweater and white tailored trousers. An ideal look that I would wear to fashion week in Milan. They go great with even a pair of jeans and a white tee underneath for a more relaxed look. But knowing me I always like to keep it classic with nice dress shoes, they hurt my feet but that's the beauty of looking good.

Homage to MK

One of the looks that got me interested in Michael Kors was his Spring Summer 2003 collection. It had 3 elements that I always look forward to in fashion: 1. Details 2. Form 3. Classic. After seeing this look that opened the collection, I already knew I'm a fan. Navy blue, white, and beige was the key color palette. The fitted navy cashmere cotton long sleeve top with a crisp white collar with button lining matched with a navy pencil skirt that had a ravishing white stitching along the buttons and pockets. I love the fact that this pencil skirt can be adjust on the button front. To finish the look with a off white pointed sling backs of a moccasin tie on the front detailing just made it sexy yet sophisticated to a level without being obvious.

stile androgino

I adore this photograph of these two men in this gray wool double breasted coats and matching trousers with side parted slick and shiny hair gives you the essence of a statement. From the pose to the setting, and lighting. It definitely brings a modern feel of what fashion is about now. I'm not really a big fan of men with long hair but with the right men, I think it can be executed very well. Another thing that I  adore is the lighting of this shoot. It gives an illusion of mysterious and toughness. I love the fact that fashion editorials are taken outside a studio. I love myself a studio shot but when it comes to an outdoor setting, it really creates the feel of something modern and creative.

piece together

One of the key pieces that stood out the most at the Chloé Fall Winter 2011 show was this over sized multi-block quilt print poncho. I thought this raved the Chloé name with a mix of Native American style and Menswear. Absolutely a bold statement to wear with anything underneath. This is totally a new direction for the French house of Chloé. The detailing of the stitching is beautifully crafted. I just wished more women are brave enough to wear something like this on any given day of the week. Hopefully I can find a similar style poncho to this.

in movimento

Creative director Hannah MacGibbon for Chloé featured these stunning bucket shoulder bags that came in numerous color tones of: olive, beige, ivory, cognac, and different tones and textures of python skin. At first I wasn't really a huge fan of these handbags but after seeing it at the Fall Winter 2011 show, I am just going crazy about them. I know Coach has a very similar style like these bucket bags which they discontinue making them. I'm hoping that I can get my grab of a very similar style that I can use for this coming Spring. I think these bucket bags bring a utility and on the go type style that works perfectly with any look day look. I would personally wear a cognac/brown color with slate gray fitted trousers with a matching safari jacket for that cool and ease sensibility.

click clack

When it comes to accessories, Michael Kors knows what makes an overall statement. For his Fall Winter 2011 show, he presented a stunning motif of metal silver tones with mirror reflecting details. I am amazed by these strappy chunk heel sandals. These are the shoes of the season for me personally. There sexy, modern, and fun. I'm not really a fan of platforms but these platforms are exceptional. You can wear these with a black poncho dress and a patent white clutch for a cool and comfortable look. I think it's all about having fun with accessories. Before was about if it matches with the look, now it's more about bending the rules and owning the look.

bright and bold

Feeling a little citrus mania for this Spring? Yes for me! I just love a bold and graphic print of citrus or any fruits of that matter. Stella McCartney gave that extra punch for her Spring Summer 2011 show. This gorgeous white blazer with the citrus fruits of orange and lemons on the panel sides gives a refreshing feel to any look. The black underneath blouse and dark pants gives this more of a pop. I would definitely rock this look for my upcoming birthday in April. I find it so festive to have a graphic print like that to any look whether it's just on a blazer jacket or on a dress.

all above

Stella McCartney really understands her female audience and her gay men audience as well. A great bag for me is something that is different from the norm. It has to have special detailing but yet simplicity. This leather woven shoulder flap bag is just the right bag to wear with anything dressy or casual. I love the fact that it reminds me of a rocking chair that I used to have when I was a child. It has that woven detailing on the back and bottom chair which I find it quite demurring. This bag absolutely looks great with a navy blue blazer jacket and dark navy blue trousers for that resort feel.

The Summer Look!

For Stella McCartney Spring Summer 2011 was by far my favorite collection. It had a sense of comfort, lightness, & subtle sexy which I'm all about. This one dress in particular caught my eye and I knew I had to blog about it. It's Called the "Roseship dress" in a floral print silk. Long sleeve with a slit open center cleavage. It has a dual thigh high slit on the front that creates fluidity and movement. It's one fashion runway pieces that you must invest because it's timeless and that never goes out of style. I just love the innocence yet the subtle sexy appeal of the fluidity. This is a dress that I would wear to the Malibu Villa with a few friends and have a picnic on a bright sunny day. Match this with a brown strappy chunky heel sandals and medium size woven leather clutch. Thank you Stella!

backstage mania

This photograph of Isabeli Fontana backstage at Chanel Couture Spring 2010 just looks ravishing or in french "ravissant" This totally gives me an idea of my upcoming Iconic photo shoots. I like the idea of it's unpose, natural, yet super classic and chic. A definite backstage feel of a model getting her makeup and hair done. I love the busy feel yet the model looks so gorgeous without being so forced. I haven't seen that done yet as a cover for Vogue Italia. But seriously Steven Meisel needs to choose Isabeli as his cover girl. She has that versatile look that works for super sexy to super chic.

All Time Fav

It's been quite awhile since I last blog. I've been lazy, busy, working, and stuff. But finally I have the motivation to write again. So lets begin with my favorite fashion model "Isabeli Fontana" I am so spell binded by her beauty inside and out. She has those big gorgeous crystal blue eyes, perfectly define bone structure, and full sensual lips that every man dreams of. To me personally, she the modern version of the 90's supermodels of today. This photograph was at the backstage Versace Fall Winter 2011 show. I am just glad to see her making a huge comeback in the fashion scene again. My ultimate goal for her is that she graces the cover of Vogue Italian by Steven Meisel. Hope Steven & Franca decide to one day.
