A NEW DECADE:

It's coming to an end of a decade. For this coming 2010 I want a whole new me. That's right, new job, sexy new body, new wardrobe, new driver license photo, just a new everything. I want to be cleanse and reborn to a new person for 2010. Denisa Dworakova on the cover of Vogue Italia July 2007 looking so strikingly chic in this dark gold sequin number. what I love is how she's laying half way up in a bath tub of water while looking so languid but yet poetic. Now that's what I call an Italian editorial cover, thanks to Mr. Meisel.

don't mock me

Looking for the right pumps? It can be hard but the key to finding the right pumps would be: comfort, reasonable price, & quality. These gorgeous dark mahogany brown pointed leather pumps are a meant for the ladylike chic women. These shoes that can work with any outfit from day to night. Either with a full skirt, fitted trousers, or short dress. It's not how you wear them, it's how you walk in them.

A stare into Matt's eyes

When I came across this editorial photograph of male model Matt Gordon, the stare of his eyes captured the soul inside me. It's those rare photograph that really grab something inside of you that takes you away. It's the one thing I'm looking for when it comes to a high fashion editorial photograph. I'm always looking for ethereal, nostalgic, &  inner soul beauty. It's like you can see the person's soul right through the window of their eyes which I find so engaging.

the power LOOK!

A women that has the curves must wear a full length turtleneck dress, exactly like this one shown at the Max Mara Fall Winter 2008 collection. Color would be in a neutral tone like slate or onyx black. Booties shoes with a long rectangular clutch would work well with this look. It's sexy without being too exaggerated. It has a sophistication of strong structure to the body with a chic presence. Something I would for sure wear if I were a women to a benefit event or an opening movie premiere.

a SHINIER trench

A man that owns a least a couple of trench coats is a winner for me. Trench coats, being one of the most chicest key pieces of a man's wardrobe is the greatest item to invest in. Trench coats brings a complete finish look either casual or formal. This navy blue nylon taffeta trench coat shown at the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring Summer 2010 collection. It has such high quality from the details, the cut, and the used of nylon taffeta that has a shinier effect. A modern take on a classic piece for a newer look.

spin it around

I just can't get enough of these delicate full pleated skirts. Miuccia is known for her variations of full skirts. What I love about it is that you can wear them with any blouse. Worn best with either a turtleneck, long sleeve dress shirt, or a cardigan sweater. Understated sexy with a sophistication style. A women that wears a full skirt or pleated skirt represents a women with class and poise.

...The Deuces Wild Gang

Inspired by the movie, Deuces Wild during the late 1950's. Fitted white three quarter length trousers, black oxford lace shoes, leather biker jacket, & new modern newspaper print polo tee. Pretty bad boy gone sleek with an hard edge. What I find attractive of this look is that it has a proper close fit to the body and a the clean haircut with side part wave that I find classic with this hard edge look. Something that I would most indubitably wear to any event.

the glistening belt

When it comes to jersey dressing, this Versace gold mesh chain belt can really add a sexy polish statement. Best be worn on either on a printed jersey dress or a solid, it really doesn't matter. What makes this Versace gold mesh chain belt special? Well, mainly because of it's shiny gold finish and the Medusa logo on the center. It's simple but has such a higher quality to it. Something you can wear to brunch or a day of shopping with the right jersey dress!

Identifying the modern man

When it comes to the Prada man, you know theirs going to be something intriguing and modern. Miuccia Prada's Spring Summer 2003 collection consist of classic short trouser, 50's swimming trunks, printed short sleeve lamé shirts, geometric shape neckwear, & large pebble leather man bags. It was classic with a less serious approach. Totally clean lines yet daring to be different. I personally love the neckwear accessory the most. It has a new foundation to the look and a refined modernity.

Still in The Game!

No matter what, Isabeli Fontana is always going to be my most favorited supermodel hands down. She's versatile in the fashion industry. She can do Victoria's Secret, Fashion Editorials, Gracing the covers of major fashion magazines, runway shows, & etc. She's been in the game for about 10 years and still making it happen. Pretty much, she's my inspiration. If I were to be a women, I most likely would want to be her. I am obsessed with her sultry beauty with her exotic features of dark hair and super blue eyes and especially her amazingly sexy curves. She's one of the true supermodel that can rule this industry without a doubt.

Gancini Signature

A messenger bag is always in style. I find this Salvatore Ferragamo bag to be quite stylish with the Gancini print. I like the fact it doesn't look overrated and rare. I like a bag to have logos but something that you haven't seen before just like this one. This is messenger bag is particular would be great to use during a weekend shopping or sight seeing around town.

playing with lamé

It's rare to see a feminine sexy side collection from Miuccia but when she does, it's stunningly gorgeous. Taking basic elements such as a turtleneck with a gold shining lamé pencil skirt. Simple yet chic without being vulgar. I personally love it when a women wears something that may seem so old fashion but mixes it with something that is relevant.

a new found simplicty

An oversize crew neck cashmere sweater with an opaque black pantyhose is a must for the women that dares to be non sexy but gives an illusion of a new simplicity sexy. Miuccia is extremely talented when creating a basic look with a distinct flair. It's all in the accessories that create a look that makes a total turning head statement. A neck wear cloth fabric with a few shiny details, crocodile gloves, platform sling backs, & a mini document shoulder bag. What I love about this look is that you can play around with the accessories and see what suits your flair. Remember less is more.

on that "Very Special Day"

I've always thought of what I would wear on the day I get joined in holy matrimony with the "one". I know this may sound silly but I still want the whole fairy tale story. I came upon this luxuriously chic chalky white satin suit with navy blue outlining details. It's not overly formal but yet has a refreshing simplicity without being so cliche. I also love how the dress shirt inside has a two sided of a pinstripe and a solid navy blue that gives contrast with the entire suit. Most importantly when it comes to a well made tailored suit, it's all in the cut of the suit and how it accentuates the body. I am convince that this is the one suit that I would definitely wear walking towards the person who has the key to my heart.

Bond...Cory Bond

The greatest thing about a editorial photograph is either you accept it or your drawn to it. I like a photograph to have a strong emotion yet channels a certain era. I'm really drawn to this nostalgic  photograph of male model Cory Bond, an upcoming rising top male model. His looks reminds me of a 1950's Hollywood actor. I think what really draws me in are his eyes and bone structure, sensual yet masculinity with ease. He has a quality that you just can't look once at.

Reinventing a new Mademoiselle

The Chanel suit will never be out of style. Karl Lagerfeld will do a little here and there change but keeping the DNA the same. For this fall 2009, a few changes were: a more a detail ruffle cuff sleeve, an accessorized necklaces, & a oversize round hat with tweed detailing. Though somethings do look a bit off at first, you start to appreciate how everything balances each other. I think the greatest investment would be the Chanel tweed jacket because it can work with any outfit whether it's jeans or pencil skirt, it gives a certain timeless look that never goes out of style.

add a little sparkle

It is very crucial to have a variety of accessories but it's a good idea to have a few brooches that will add a dash of sparkle to your look. Brooches are usually a flower rhinestone designed pin that you can wear on a sweater or dress coat on the upper side front shoulder. It gives more character and opulence to a whole look. Not only just women, men can wear brooches too that dares to be different.

Nostalgic Beauty

The short length haircut is making it's way back to fashion world. Luca Gadjus graced the cover of German Vogue for December 2009. Her inseparable beauty gives you a nostalgic vision. With shorter hair, it's so much easier to maintain and style in many variations. Either slick back, pin straight, or even the finger wave shown on Luca Gadjus. Remember, not everyone has the face shape to grace a short hairstyle.

splatter!

It's a fashion orgasm when I come across something that is a basic look but taken to a new level. This blazer from the Moschino Spring Summer 2010 collection was one of the key items. Navy blue on the upper part and white with splattered navy blue on the lower part. It reminds me of something I would see in a painting.

got brass in pocket?

Chandelier brass earrings & necklace makes a bold statement from the Celine Spring Summer 2003 collection. Absolutely a women on vacation in the Mediterranean location during a mid summer. Going from late afternoon bathing to a dinner party event. These brass accessories go with any look to resort chic to a formal sophistication. Best worn with a long fitted black jersey tube dress.

nautical footsteps

You don't necessarily need be on a boat to wear these boats shoes by Sperry, but you could be walking on 5th Ave in New York shopping. These shoes would be best worn during the end of spring early summer with white or ivory short trousers. They come in tons of color but I prefer the navy blue with white trimming, it looks more attractive and original. Very comfortable yet sleek without looking over done.

Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous

What I like most about this look is the yellow fur coat. I personally like things that are a bit loud and exaggerated but still a classic piece. A off white cashmere V neck sweater with brooch pin on the side with a sexy cut flared trousers. This look alone is made for the independent women that knows exactly what she wants in life.

Grandmother's pieces

I got wind strut over this precious lilac rose print that reflects a charming sense. Reminds me of something my grandmothers dress back during the late 70's that was taken and refined with a newer finish. Another idea that I can wear for this coming Spring & Summer.

cougar on the loose!

A cougar gold ring reminds me of the movie The Ten Commandments which was used a lot of Gold animal figurines and statues during that era. I personally don't wear any rings or any jewelry but if I could I would love to slip my finger on this cougar ring. It would definitely draw attention. Something different to add to any jewelry lovers out there.

Catching the waves

Royal blue & black are two colors that are strong amongst each other. Very bold and sharp is what Michael Kors thought for the Spring Summer 2009. He was thinking of the art of surfing yet with a laid back feel. Black quarter length fitted trousers, black patent slip on shoes, & a royal blue short sleeve rash guard with black line detailing. A new way to wear something sporty yet dressy.

bigger is better!

I like it when something looks ultra luxurious with a hard edge. This off white hobo bag with two pocket  compartment and a V shape zipper detailing in the middle. You can always tell a beautifully hand crafted bag by the details. Why not invest a little more if you have the money for quality.

The Spanish Flair

Zara always has something ultra chic yet European about it. Their prices are reasonable but most importantly to me is the cut of the clothes that accentuates the body and the quality that makes the clothes last a long time. My super favorite male model Antonio Navas did the Zara Fall Winter look book campaigns and I'm just obsessed with this dark heather gray chunky knit jacket sweater with the faux fur mink collar. Now thats what I call a spanish throb dressed properly!

Very Park Avenue

I've noticed that only chic women tend to wear a full skirt. I don't see what's the problem with it. Though it may have an old fashion feel, it can still work on how you put together the whole look. You got to have the right shoes either pumps or sling backs and a subtle top like a fitted turtleneck or button down blouse. Very Park Avenue walking the dog during mid spring time on a Sunday afternoon.

answer to my prayers

Last week, I was running errands I decided to pass by this thrift store just to check out some things. Their was one thing in particular I was looking for. It was an answer to my prayers of a single document case bag that only cost me about $5. Perfect condition, gorgeous chocolate brown leather, & gold metal hardware. It's a bit big but I think it's a new look to sport. Versatile to use as a shopping clutch or as an actual document case.

square one length

In hair cutting terms, "square one length" just means a one length usually at the neck line cut blunt with no layers which is a 0 degree length. Only the bravest woman would attempt this haircut. Most women have long hair but with a shorter haircut, it's easier to manage and makes you stand out more. For more of a sophisticated look, have the hair side parted with a slick back behind the ear with hair pin straight. Why not try something different for a change. Hair grows back no matter what.

“Fashion fades, only style remains the same.”

As we know, Coco Chanel changed the world of fashion for the "Modern Woman". Daria Werbowy graced the cover of Italian Vogue July '03. Wearing a classic Chanel midnight blue long sleeve white high collar with a white paper flower, white gloves with gold embellishment detailing, & Chanel logo accessories on necklace and bracelet. A classic look that will always stay in style. Thanks to the legendary fashion photographer Steven Meisel for capturing a truly high fashion mecca image.

who wear short shorts?

Their is nothing wrong for a guy to wear short shorts. And I'm not talking about booty shorts like girls, I"m talking about the appropriate short length that hits right above mid thigh shown at the Enrico Converi Spring Summer 2009. Either it's print or white, men can show off their sexy tone legs too. Mix it up with a button down shirt with a tie, a printed blazer with rolled up sleeves, or just go shirtless if you just want to show it all off!
