dot dot weekend
You can never ever go wrong when it comes to Polka dot. I used to not be a fan of it but now I'm going crazy about it. It brings more life to the clothes with a cool and fun attitude. I just loved what Michael Kors did for his Spring Summer 2009 collection. It was about bold prints and strong statement pieces. This modern fitted dress that shows the midriff is so sexy with the ring detail. It's definitely a new way to look at new proportions and sex appeal without stating the obvious. If I were a woman, I would love to wear this on a cruise ship on the Caribbean sea. Pair it with white patent leather wedges and a red clutch bag for more of a statement look without being to overdone.

preparation
I know L.A. Gay Pride Festival isn't around the corner but I am preparing on what I want to wear the day of. I'm keeping my options open. The key things that I'm looking for is comfort, classic, & different with an edge. My motto challenge is: "How are you going to stand out in a crowd?" I'm considering a nautical theme of the colors of navy blue/white. Very clean, very refreshing, and very Michael Kors shown here in this number. I love the short sleeve polka dot button shirt paired with a navy blue high cut fitted trousers, white slip on shoes, and a white bucket hat. An idea that I am considering for my look at L.A. Gay Pride 2011.

Fashion Classics
This Spring Summer 2010 to me is about a clean structured silhouette with the basic looks with a fresher edge. I was thinking how can a look draw attention without being too loud. Well for sure it's about having a tailored fit. It's not about having too fitted or too loose, just the right fit like a glove. And another is you just can't go wrong with a cashmere sweater. Whether it's long sleeve or short it can't go wrong. This look in particular is very simple but I love it since it bold in it's own vocabulary. Semi turtleneck short sleeve in navy cashmere with a red skinny pin stripe flat front trousers. Just add a white matte belt for neutrality and side parted slick back hair for a very classic look.

with my children
If I were a young mom, this is my first look of summer with my children taking a stroll walk to the park. A gorgeous plaid full skirt, red tee blouse, open brim hat, shiny yellow clutch bag, and a shining red belt for structure. Also, maybe an archive oval ray ban sunglasses for a 90's meets 50's hip mom look. I just adore when I see women still rocking the full skirt. I think a full skirt is an iconic fashion symbol. You can always wear it with anything and it still looks chic and understated without all the fuss. Another idea for my upcoming fashion photo shoot.

Catching the waves
Royal blue & black are two colors that are strong amongst each other. Very bold and sharp is what Michael Kors thought for the Spring Summer 2009. He was thinking of the art of surfing yet with a laid back feel. Black quarter length fitted trousers, black patent slip on shoes, & a royal blue short sleeve rash guard with black line detailing. A new way to wear something sporty yet dressy.

The power of "Royal Blue"
Royal blue is such a bold festive color. It's a color that compliments any look as long as it's worn right. I think it goes really well with white & black or any color that balances the two. Here are some outfits that I am just dying to have for this Fall.
